Is this the club that has 600 acres inside the 4600 acres that is for special members only and can only be hunted by the rest of the membership by special invitation? As far a turkey hunting, is it the club that prohibits its members from turkey hunting the first four or five days of the season because those days are set aside for special guests? If it is, I could keep typing.

What kind of a**hole idiot sets up a club for members to hunt in and then have honey holes what's most likely the best price of hunting land on the entire property???? What an a**hole!!!!

No dates restricted for members and the 600 acres is open for everyone. Has been for the last four years, Bill Connell is no longer in this club.

So the same rules and benefits now apply to ALL members? No exceptions we should know about now?

I will say the place is very nice, I was up there and spoke this past December at the wounded warrior hunt they host. The camp area is very nice with 3d target area set up and the camp house is comfortable. The guys I met that were in it were very approachable.Think they have a few fishing ponds on it. I cant afford 3100.00 to get in it, but if I could I would. Being from south ms I may see 1 or 2 deer if I am lucky a day. The morning I filmed, we saw no deer but 4 gobblers. The evening we had 9 deer come out on the plot. To me that was success. The place has a mix of terrain. I loved it, but cant afford to get in. Maybe one day.I did not discuss rules so not sure about that. I will say it is a lot of land and most is accessible from camp house via wheeler or cart. I know Rick well and he is a great guy to deal with..

I've been a member of MHC for 4 years and love it. It has a great family atmosphere and any game you'd want to hunt along with 4 lakes to fish…basically year round activity. There is a separate lease next to MHC but it is a separate club…not unlike all other hunting clubs that have separate leases/clubs surrounding it. Some of our members just happen to be members of that club, which for some, I presume, gives the perception of shenanigans going on. There have been a few drama issues in the past many due to lack of leadership. But, anytime you get more than 2 humans together, there will be some drama. We have new board members who are awesome and are very knowledgeable of QDM principals that have been strictly followed for the past 2 years…and it is starting to truly show…place is loaded with deer. The "600 acres" mentioned in the post is now part of the main club. For me I want hunt anywhere else.
