Sitting here in a tree gettin soaked, and got to thinking.... Does the rain help cover scent?

I was wondering the same thing this morning. I know for a fact it helps with sound! But I also was paranoid all morning that a deer would walk by without me hearing it.

The rain causes the temp to drop, which makes the air sink (downdrafts), which pulls your scent down with it (assuming you're in a tree). So if anything, I think it would hurt more than help.

Only saw one squirrel and a huge tree fall about 100 yards in front of me. I heard some loud pops and was wondering what the heck it was then in went on down.
