The rain causes the temp to drop, which makes the air sink (downdrafts), which pulls your scent down with it (assuming you're in a tree). So if anything, I think it would hurt more than help.

Only saw one squirrel and a huge tree fall about 100 yards in front of me. I heard some loud pops and was wondering what the heck it was then in went on down. That's so much better than the tree you are in falling.
