Your best bet to achieve what you want will be to go find you 150 - 200 acres and lease it by yourself. No matter how good a friends you have eventually there will be some drama of some type. People can't help themselves.... especially deer hunters.

4 of us lease 505acres, we all work at the same place, we have a blast. Get the land, plant some fields and have fun, shoot a buck or let it walk might come back bigger might not. We got a tent and an outhouse basic as it gets, but we have a large time, no drama/bs

Our club is run by a wildlife biologist dictatorship style. I like it that way, he makes good decisions and there ain't no drama so far

Yep..How we are too.We only have 340 acres with 5 of us but we are all the same way.We have a lil hunting shack and a firepit that will get more time spent at it than the shooting houses and ladder stands.I might hunt over there a handful of times if that. The others probably the same.Place don't get a whole lotta pressure cause most of us are always hunting elsewhere. We don't get caught up in qdma but we also don't shoot small bucks.I'm over both our leases and my only rule is if you're gonna take a buck Atleast make it be one you're gonna do some kinda mount on.I told everybody don't shoot a buck if you just gonna cut its horns off and throw em in a pile somewhere.Like I said we've had one place 5 years and the other 2 years and I've never even killed a deer over there. My step brother got his first buck over there about 3 years ago and I took a buddy of mine that had never killed a deer last year and when he shot a doe i was more excited than he was. That's what its all about to me.Good luck and I hope y'all find what y'all looking for.

I think you missed his point. He wants to be able to kill a 1.5-2.5yr old deer if he wants and his 4 friends are all in agreement about it.

As far as acreage goes, depending on the layout, 500ac could be plenty for 10 people. From experience we had 500ac in KY, mostly fields. We only had 5 guys hunting it but could have easily held 10-15 guys at 1 time.

I agree with most everything folks have already stated. We have 13 members with just under 3k acers. With kids and wives that number could easily double on a day when everyone was down. I'm not as mad at them as I used to be so letting a nice 2yr old walk is fine by me and if it gets killed by someone else then so be it. If someone wants to hunt somewhere I want to hunt then I normally don't have a problem with letting them. Seems the deer I've killed were in stands that I was hunting because someone else wanted to hunt my first pic. The biggest annoyance to me is those who don't put in work ALWAYS are the ones who hunt the most. Doesn't matter what club you are in there will always be those who carry the weight and those who are lazy as heck until season opens.
