I'm hunting a place I call 'Heartbreak Hollow' today. The sign keeps bringing me back in here, but it never works out.

Camped out at the swamp chestnut and white oaks in the hardwood flat again. Something's gotta give. I need to run a Gold Tip through something. Think I'm a couple of pints low on blood from the skeeters raping me as I climbed. eek

Oh..., Good morning Furflyin. Hope you have a great day at work. grin

I'm bout to get off, take a quick nap and then have to be at court at 9. I'll be back after them this evening. Going on a doe mission. Gotta give myself a break from trying to kill a buck, it's driving me crazy. I need to bloody up an arrow.

I'm in the same tree in Marshall Cty where I go a doe a week ago. Hope they come along early. I can't hunt long.

Good luck everyone.

Food plot usage is not really that great here at the house. Deer are staying in the woods and feeding on acorns. If it stays cloudy I'm going to try it this afternoon. It looks like the weather may be better this weekend.

Anyone heard from Furflyin? Did he have to work again? smile

Thinking about climbing a tree at the farm today. This weather is a total hunting turn off, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting much good, cold hunting weather until rifle season sooo gotta get after em while they are still kinda oblivious. Might sit right off a greenfield, the green growth from all this rain looks so tender and appetizing I'm wanting to eat some.

With a friend in Dallas County for my first sit of the year. Hardwood ridge between a cutover and a green field. Setup climber at lunch. Came back in, put one foot on the bottom and the cable broke. Was already strapped in, but it could have been ugly and buddy has very little cell signal.
Never bow hunted from the ground without a blind, so this should be quite comical.

Hunting Bankhead National Forest this afternoon. I'm set up 50 yards from 5 year old cut over on some white oaks. Going to be quiet and the wind is swirling. Good luck y'all in this heat and shoot straight.

I may have a heat stroke 20 ft up a tree this afternoon. I'm at a new plan and only hunted one time this year so far. It's a small patch of woods with fresh cut soybeans on 3 sides and a thicket behind me.

Just got set up in a loc-on in a huge red oak on the edge of a food plot. Haven't tried this stand in the evenings yet.

I'm sure Furflyin has had a splendid day at work. grin

Up a tree at LBL. On a hardwood ridge. Watching two draws already saw 7 turkeys.

Been settled in about 15 minutes on the second hunt this year. Sitting on a small green patch with water oaks dropping. Seen a gobbler so far. I'm sweating like a Democrat trying to tell the truth.

Sitting behind my house on the greenfield , doubt I will send a Razor Rod at one today , only one shooter here and he's nocturnal right now . Brought the old AR and the coyote call to the stand with me today , I'm going to see if I can bring one in about dark.
