Beadlescomb comment in the LFTT thread..."didn't nock an arrow" got me to thinking. I've read that before. That some people don't nock an arrow until they are gonna shoot. Just wondering how many do that? I nock one and hang my bow and I'm ready to pull it back when the time comes. So, what say ye?

I nock one and hang it up ready to shoot. Less motion when a deer is present.

I nock one and have bow in bow holder mounted on my stand right by my left hand for easy access.

if it aint knocked you aint hunting,on an evening hunt I keep one knocked all the way to my stand, and when i'm hunting on the ground it never gets un-knocked.You never know when one will show up,or when you can put a stalk on.

I would rather be turkey hunting

Nock mine as soon as I'm settled.....sometimes I hang the bow...sometimes I just keep it across my lap.....

Knock it as I get in the tree and it always hangs on a bow hanger.

I knock it and put it in my third hand archery holder. However, I've never killed a deer...so maybe I should try something different...

Knocked as soon as I'm settled. Never hanging. My bow stays in my shooting hand the entire time. Wasn't even aware that people actually sat in a stand with their arrow not knocked. That's just deer watching.

In a ground blind, sometimes it's easier for it not to be nocked. In a treestand, it's always nocked.

Another vote for nocked and hanging most of the time. I have been standing with bow in hand at prime times right at day break and last light as well.

That's what I do. Unless it's somewhere I know I'll have to shoot quick

To me not having one nocked would be like having an unloaded gun. Just doesn't make sense.

I see a bunch of you "knock" an arrow. How many actually nock an arrow? grin
