Build a sanctuary on your land. Turn beagle loose on neighbors land where pic was taken. Hunt on edge of sanctuary, but not in it, and kill him in front of beagle with buckshot.
Very nice deer btw.

Better fence something off from the cows and plant something.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Plant good forage not just wheat and oats. Fence it from the cows. Ho;d the does and he will come.

As said before, keep the does on your property and he will be there looking when the rut comes. If this buck means that much to you, if I were you, I wouldn't set foot on the place till the rut. Let him realize that all the hunting pressure is elsewhere......then, when you do hunt it when the rut is in full swing, hunt the wind and sit all day long. I always thought a few acres with a pen full of does would be a great attractant. Knew a guy who had deer and he'd carry his rifle when he went to feed them in January. He shot a buck or 2 trying to break into the pen.

From those pics it looks like a spotlight is going to be the only way to see him till maybe the rut. He's one of those night owls but he may move in daylight hours a time or 2 and I hope you are there when he does.

98. I would use everything, and most important dont be scared of trying something both inside and outside the box. By this I mean obviously I would get some trophy rock out immediately. Sounds like your neighbor has alraady beat you to the punch. Butuse them a lot more smarter, use them to recruit. Put them on your boundaries. Then slowly move them inside your property. We do this and it has worked, not on a buck yet but this worked on a trophy doe we hunted last year. Start mocking everytime you can, it aint gonna hurt anything. Miss October, Miss Novemner, code blue, tinks, buck bomb the middle of your property like its Hiroshima. You gotta make this buck want to be on your land and doing nothing aint gonna get him in. Always pay attention to the wind, always, even if it means not even going to your land if its not right. Good luck man and let us know when you give him a dirt nap! Nothing we like more than recruiting a neighbors buck!

I agree with others, it is all about the pressure. Don't pressure him until the rut kicks in. Then get after it as hard as you can. Find another spot to hunt you some meat until the rut starts full bore. No guarantees on a hoss like that, but that will give you your best chance. Let your neighbors apply the pressure and hope he doesn't do something stupid until your ready.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

To all these folks yelling corn, rice brand and other stuff...... Are y'all telling him to pour it out and sit on it?? Whatever you do man, do it right. It would haunt me forever to kill one like that, put him on the wall, and have to think how I killed him illegally. With 140 acres of cow pastures, I don't see how you could keep it out of sight, yet it benefit you. Maybe I'm wrong, but every person that is around you and knows this deer is there is probably going to be putting corn, rice brand, peanut butter, swamp donkey, you name it out. Just let them push him out on you. Hunt smart and attempt to kill him legally. If there's one like that there, more than likely that area will produce another one in the future. Hopefully you kill him, but if you don't it's not the end of the world. A lot of pressure on you while hunting is a good way to get burned out!!!

...and to add to what I said earlier, stay quiet about it to you neighbors. The more you talk about it the harder they will try also to get him on their property. It also will get the poachers attention. I'd really hate to see that one go down like that. well the picture of him from this year was from a neighbor, and hes already bigmouthed it for all of facebook so i guess its just whoever ends up in the right place at the right time... Very nice deer btw. I would have a gay dove shoot on opposite side you hunt. Have 575 dozen arrows ready to sling at deer you are after. Let the beagles, walkers, or bluetick dogs runit out of the sanctuary. If that don't work throw out five truckloads of corn and hunt 101 yards down wind and don't shoot nothing, but that one deer you are after. Until the neighbors call the law on you for hunting baited plot.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the Clorox stump. clorox stump? Newbs..... Yes, the Clorox stump. You take 1.3 gallons of Clorox and pour onto said stump inside of your deer sanctuary. Make sure you only use 1.3 gallons as anything less or more will mess with the chemical breakdown that happens. The deer will absolutely destroy this area within 3-37 days. I call it the 'Big Buck Clorox Detox'.

I poured Clorox on a trophy rock in my sanctuary for recruitment purposes obviously. I now have 3 bucks from Illinois and 2 from south Texas. You will be amazed at it's recruiting power. I have done wonders for my genetics Classic

He prolly wont be on his feet much during the day until the seeking phase...set a doe decoy out in the pasture and soak her down with some Quality doe estrous and spend as much time as possible hunting him playing the wind...If you know the general time they rut....And I would do a lot of praying... I'd run cameras on fence crossings. Just drive out and check them. If it's a working cattle farm ain't no truck going to bother them. See if you can get any sort of pattern on him. If not, get where you can see the best during the rut. He might get stupid.
I wouldn't spend a fortune on corn either. There are plenty of ways to kill him without that expense

Catch the wind blowing from your fields to your neighbors land and get as scent free as possible. I'd go in and hang several scent wicks and use a couple of bottles of triple heat and a doe decoy. I'd pull back as far as possible from wicks and decoy as I could shoot and sit daylight til dark.

And for all the "keep does on your property" answers - did ya'll read this is on 140 acres of cow pasture. Every deer "passing thru" is bedding on the neighboring property.
I guess I'm not an expert. why i answered the way i did .

I guess I'm not an expert. Agreed. Also even if the neighbors are pressuring him he is more than likely not going to choose to come to your "open" 140 acres of pasture. He may pass through but he will not call it home

1000's of pounds of corn, and gallons of the doe estrus poured directly in the middle of your 140 acre property, this should get him in there.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Now you got to put some serious thinking in this, a deer like this calls for extreme measures ! soak corn in that chit that took out Michael Jackson, now DON'T do it like ole Mike, and put so much on it you kill em make sure they gonna wake back up! It probably had some Clorox in it too that's what made him piebald .. Anyhow , once the does start falling out scoop em up and put in a big cage right in the middle of that big cow pasture ... Leave glory hole for big boy ... Now dont hunt it till the rut... Now make sure you got it right in the middle of that big ole cow pasture .. Now here is the part that's really important, Cause you gonna need the right weapon for a deer like that , a proven weapon.. Now Call up DW for some lessons and see if will rent out that 4 wheeler of his for the rut ..

Hunt him where he spends most of his daylight hours....near his bed. This and very quietly. No ridding a fourwheeler...if you must ride something ride a bicycle but take a gallon of Clorox...dont worry about pouring on a dang stump like these guys...just pour it on the freakin ground. Good luck !

Best way to kill him will be with a gun from the truck while checking cows I imagine. I'd start with a morning and late afternoon check until the rut and then I would up it to 3 times a day.

I have looked at this thread 100 times and I JUST NOW noticed that you said the pictures were from last year and this year. I couldn't figure out how that same deer looked so huge from the rear and so much smaller from the front. LOL
That is a MOOSE. Good luck. I'd probably go opening morning of rifle season and be there an hour early and then not step foot on the place til the rut.

He'll be on the nearest ridge at the head of a draw looking downhill with the wind at his back.
Nothing but 10 million corn flakes between you and him.
I wouldn't go much further than the gate until I got a clear cold day.

put 1000 pounds of corn out and hide under it with a knife and when he comes jump out and slit his throat or maybe try to poop where he poops that seems to piss them off for me and come in hot Did this last week and is seemed to work for me. took down a cull 49 point.
