What is the best lures for ponds this time of year. The pond I fish at a lot is a pretty good sized pond. The water is clear.

If you fish a spinnerbait, do it on side where wind is rippling the water and fish it fast.Make it a white spinerbait no larger than 3/8.If the wind has made a mudline make sure you fish it well. I'd opt for dead sticking a green pumpkin with chartreuse tail senko around any trash you can see. Texas rig it with no weith, just watch for the line to start moving off. Meaning fish it on slack line. Good luck

1/4-ounce buzzbait in white or chartreuse, something shad-like. I also throw a Road Runner with a small swimbait or fluke on it, like this one:

I like using light line and a 6" red shad worm. Usually do real well this time of the year. Second choice is a beetle spin along deeper banks.

3" plastic curly tail grub on a 1/8 oz jighead.

Would jigs work in a pond like this? What kind. Swim jig?

Sure. I'd go with a 1/4-ounce jig in white with a 3-inch white curly-tail grub.

If they won't hit a purple squiggel tail culprit worm its not a good day to fish.

I think if they don't bite a black trick worm it ain't a good day

I have great luck with a bream colored swim jig and zoom speed craw trailer.

A great jig for ponds is a Strike King bitsy bug. Have not bought them in years. I assume they're still made

Crank bait, buzz bait, trick worm, jig, spinnerbait, Rat-L trap, any kind of walking bait (chug bug, smaller spook). Of course though choose wisely depending on the ponds structure, water clarity, depth.
