One of my patients has this set. Can't get photobucket to cooperate. This is one I got up. They have been in combat and look to be pretty old. Any ideas where they are from and how old they are.

It looks like the sword that belonged to King Arthur's step brother. Unlike Arthur who found his sword and pulled it from the stone, the step bother found his and pulled it from and old stump.

I'd say those swords originated in China, not from the Ming Dynasty but sometime later, maybe around 1983. If they were used in a battle, I would hypothesize that it was a battle fought early on a Saturday morning, on site but before they were sold at the Flea Market where the battle took place.

Its about the same age as that brick vinyl. Probably purchased as a package set for decorating Shriner's club-houses in the mid 80's.

Guy bought them from Spain in the 60s. This is the other one. They have fairly deep cuts in the edges.

I will trade the guy my saber for the swords. My dad gave me this saber. It doesn't have very much value to me because I didn't even know that he was my father.

Quality swords wouldn't have big cuts in them from "being in battle." They are replicas. I have seen the same thing in store when I was younger. The Acorn in gatlinburg used to have all that type stuff in the 70s and early 80s.

All my sources say it's true too.
