I get mine renewed at the probate office at the court house? The place were a new driver takes their test if a different office all together. The probate office is open in all these counties right? Better be.

I figured The Rev. Jackson would break out his old ammo, disenfranchisement ! Those Alabama crackers require photo ID to vote, close the DL offices that help mostly black folks and you're disenfranchising them.

Alabama and Tennessee must be in cahoots with one another, closing several here as well. Next week matter of fact.

I don't know about other counties, but in Lowndes County the closure would have no impact or very little financial impact on the State but a big impact on our citizens. The license office was open each Wednesday and was housed in the County Commission building which was provided to the State at no charge. The state isn't laying off personell so the only potential savings is the amount of gas it cost the DPS/ALEA employee to drive from Selma or Montgomery one day each week. After the closures we don't have a single license office in our entire circuit of Lowndes, Butler and Crenshaw County. If it doesn't save the state money, what is the other motivation for the closure? That's very interesting. I wonder if DOT is having an auction for the tahoes yet? I want one... No you don't. I drove one for about three years before I retired. They are different from the consumer Tahoes and there is a reason the bids on them were low enough to beat out other bids. They are NOT the nice comfortable rides you would get off of a dealers lot.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
