This is my whitetail institute pure attraction plot I planted a few days ago were finnally gettin some rain supposed to get some more tomorrow. Do yall think this would be a good DOVE field may try some corn or sunflower next year. There's some blackberrys that go along that curve were the plot stops an I was thinking of bush hogging those berrys but I wanted y'all's opinion first ][/url]

Its better to sit in a stand and think about God, then to sit in church and think about hunting.

why did you leave a pine tree in the field???
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

It looks a tad small to me for dove field but I'm no expert. My plots are long and narrow and I've never had luck drawing doves to them. My experience has been they like big wide open spaces. Good elements nearby are a gravel road, pond, pine treeline and a power line.

I couldn't get it in the pic but to the left and back is nothing but huge pines I'll try to get a pic tomorrow after work now that I know how to work this photobucket LOL

It's a bush hog 2846 qt on a Massey ferguson 285 it could've easily bull dozed it but we've already had to rebuild the power steering cylinder 3 times 35.00 for the shaft and 15.00 for seals gets pretty expensive after 3 times

I say no for a dove field. It looks nice for deer but IF you were able to attract doves to it there would be a small chance they would actually land in it after being shot. Very difficult to find a small bird in that unless you have a dog. That's what I was thinking thanks for the tip

Leave the little trees. They'll grow into great sanctuary observation trees in a few years.
