Judge issued his ruling on the girls. Sad days ahead in our home...not sure exactly when, but they'll be leaving soon. I'm not sure what else to even say.
The little boy we have, looks like we will officially be his parents on National Adoption Day, November 13,...if the same judge doesn't mess that up too. I'm so very happy about this, but all I can do is weep at the moment.
I'm at the office tonight trying to work, but it is pointless. I've had to redo the same estimate 4 times because I can't concentrate. Heading home to be with my family.

The majority of you can kind of imagine how tough it is to have a child stripped from your home, only for them to go back to their parents that may or may not have straightened their lives out enough to provide a loving home for said child. But until you have lived it, you probably will not fully understand the full impact it has on your whole family.
This is something that goes along with being a foster/adoptive family. My wife and I have been through it several times, and you never get used to it, but you put yourself through it because there is a genuine need for people willing to open their homes and their hearts.
Mike, my sincere prayers are with you and your family. This is a great ministry that you are doing for the children, and I know that you are receiving just as many blessings from it as the kids are. Keep up the good work and remember when you get discouraged from times like these, that there is another kid out there needing a home for now, maybe even a forever home. Prayers with you brother.

Heavenly Father,
We come to your throne, with sadness of having to give these two girls up, and not understanding why. We pray for their safety, not only physically, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as well. Let their new home be filled with security, joy, and unconditional love.
We ask for comfort for our Brother Mike and his family. Honor their faithfulness, and give them peace in this matter. If the girls are going to be in the wrong place, may You bring them safely back to Mike and his family.
Father, we know You have heard our Brother's prayers, and find comfort in trusting Your ways above our understanding. Let us see this through for Your glory.
Thank You for what You have already done, and thank You for what You are going to do.
For it is in the name of Jesus, our Comforter and Redeemer we ask and claim these things, Amen.

Prayers for your family and the children...and the parents.
I know this is difficult. My son, soon to be 14, was adopted out of us providing foster care. We had others for short times and one older boy that is now in prison. There are many heartbreaks but many rewards also.

That cannot be taken away. You have burned that into their hearts and minds and they will never forget their time with you. You know as well as all of us that God's plan is never flawed or imperfect.
