We go to the beach and freeze our ends off fishing this weekend and get home and it's 88 degrees. All we caught was a flounder a big lady fish, 3 cats, a permit and a Croker. Didn't have phone when we caught the lady fish and some of the others.

These cats any good used as cut bait?

And tons of these. This ones about size of a basketball

I've used those small hardhead catfish fire cutbait a few times and about the only thing that will eat them are other hardhead catfish and sharks.

This, in my experience.

You need to feed that boy of yours some biscuits-n-gravy and a slab of bacon. For a month! grin

Looks like y'all at least had fun.

They may not be good bait but I promise you if that cat cut through your skin with that spine it'd be the last time you held one like that.

Don't think Permits make it this far north. Can't see real well on the phone, but looks like a small jack crevalle. That size hard heads are the ones that usually get you. Your Yankee azz wouldn't do that but once grin

Oh. I've had one go between my thumb nail and the thumb about an inch. I don't learn real easy.

It's a small jack crevalle. Now those are great for cut bait.

I've never seen a jack crevalle that small, I had to zoom way in to make sure it wasn't a croaker. cool looking little fish.

I can vouch for this statement. It is one of the truest statements ever on aldeer!
