You better...most folks die if they contract Tetanus...plus its horribly painful for those who do live thru it

I did that too about 8 years ago. Jumped over a fence in the yard and there was some old wood debris under the leaves left by the previous owner. BIG nail through my hiking boot, deep into the ball of my right foot. Could not pull it out on my own. Sat in the yard and hollered for my boys. My oldest brought me a big framing hammer. The way it was angled, I tried knocking it off but after three tries that didn't work anymore. I had to pry it off. I might have hollered and inadvertently taught my boys a curse word. Limped to truck and straight to Dr. office. They cleaned it, gave me a shot, tetanus shot, put me on antibiotics...couldn't hardly walk for a couple days.

Don't play..go to a doctor.

I stepped on several when I was a kid. I have stepped on a couple as an adult. They hurt. I think my worst nail injury to date was shooting a framing nail through my thumb while I was building my house. It was buried up to the head. It hurt going in, but it hurt worse when my dad pulled it out with 9" lineman pliers. I didn't go to the doctor. It bled enough to flush out any bacteria.

I get a tetanus shot every 4-5 years.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

A picture of a nail in my foot would be the equivalent to a picture of a good looking naked woman in a pair of handcuffs, to some of the foot loving fellers on here. grin

I'm sorry Mike but this made me laugh! I can just see your boy running to help daddy out with a 22 ounce Eastwing framing hammer to pull that nail out of your foot. I would have cussed a lot right then. Glad it worked out fine.

My grandmama in Louisiana always called them technical shots. shocked
I did too until the first time I got one and the doctor thought I was crazy when I told him that I had never had a technical shot. He finally understood what I was saying and corrected me.

I've never known anyone who actually got tetanus. Don't it lock your jaws or something? The soaking in cider reminds me of a dirty joke I once heard.

It will put a healthy man on his ass. My uncle can work circles around most folks but it put him in the fetal position on his back. He hollered and screamed when you moved him the least bit. If he could have hit someone he would have many times. You could barely understand anything he said because his jaws were locked tight. A test they run is to put a stick to your tongue and if you have it you will lock down on it.

I'd probably assume take a 22 into the foot vs that car key. DAMN
