There is also some public land in Lillian that don't get a lot of pressure, but it is extremely thick and hard to hunt. However, there are some really good deer on it. It's shotgun with slug, bow, or muzzleloader only though.
Look up Forever Wild property on outdoor alabama.
If you have a boat, the delta would probably be your best bet. You may not see many deer, but you would almost certainly have fun with hogs. If you do have a boat, send me a private message and I'll point you to some areas on the lower delta that I know have deer.

Drive the 2 hours to the Conecuh National Forest and Blue Spring WMA. One of the best public lands in the state in my opinion is the NF. Plus it is state season out there.
