4 year member myself. Great Place I think, lots of land with plenty of room to roam, very low membership considering the amount of land. Great group of guys to both work and hunt with. Can't always accommodate everyone and just like every club some years you just have to weed out the ones that are never happy. Some very nice bucks, again like everywhere else trail cams always catch the big ones but hard to see in the day light till late season. Lots of does for plenty of meat. Some mighty fine turkey hunting in my opinion as well. I believe there are still around 6 openings or at least there was our last meeting/workday. Bottom line it's what you make out of it. Not really a place to just join and and have it all figured out unless you get lucky. Takes a couple of years to get grounded, learn the land, the deer, the pressure.....Happy hunting to you all and good luck this season.
Oh, work day this Saturday(Oct. 3)...if you want to join I'm sure you could drive up and look around.

$1800 + generate $200 for a fundraiser raffle (buy your own tickets or sell them) Its close to 250ac/per member. (9700ac/40max) BUT club hunts MUCH bigger than that due to layout - its approx an 12 mile long by 1 mile wide strip of land pretty much all the way across north Baldwin county. Its close to 10k acres but feels like 20k seriously... You will never see it all, let alone hunt it... Main road is 12 miles long with ONE gate on each end. QDM property of this size with good neighbors grows mature deer... Kill close to 100 deer a year... half bucks. I hunted lazy last year too - sat plots in shooting houses or the powerlines. I still saw deer about every time I went. I could have killed plenty of does if I had wanted to pull the trigger. I also killed a mature buck. This year, I will take it to the woods & cutovers more now that I got a better handle on some places.

There is as well a $250 Turkey hunting fee, an effort to raise a little funds for chufa patches and in hopes to keep Turkey hunting pressure down.
Good Buck Walt!
and as far as the rules, they come and go and are always subject to change primarily due to whomever the particular members are for that year. You never really know who you'll take on so yeah sometimes in the middle of hunting a rule has to be instituted otherwise as the good Book said where there is no law there is no sin. Again the majority of guys are a great group, we work together to get things done and when it comes time we all stand at the sign out boards most of the time preferring one another to sign out first.
It does seem much larger that it is as you said walt that's due to the layout of the land. There are still places that I have yet to hunt going on 4 years now.
