I have some hearing loss. Doesn't bother me as bad when I'm in the woods. But like watching tv. Everything sounds muffled. I have to turn it way up to be able to make the words out. I can hear it just can make out the words. Wife can't stand it and if I want to stay up late to watch something when kids are in bed I can forget it. My question is would like the walkers game ear help with this? Any others have this problem? I need to get a blue tooth compatible TV and head phones.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.

Walker's Game Ears. Probably not. From your description it sounds like you have the same type loss as me. It is only certain tones that I have trouble with and that makes everything sound garbled. I deal with it by watching lips and using the closed caption on shows. The good news is they make aids that will make hearing easy again. The bad news is they are more expensive than a normal aid and not covered by BCBS.
A Game Ear will just amplify everything, including what you need filtered out.
Hearing tests are easy and usually free as a consultation. They will tell you exactly what you need and even let you try a pair to see if it helps.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Funny that this came up today. I had a hearing test to tell me what I already knew. I am loosing hearing in the mid to upper frequencies, you know the frequencies your wife and kids talk in. Need to talk to the VA and see what my options are now.
Do the hard right verses the easy wrong

Need to talk to the VA and see what my options are now. I had a coworker with same thing. VA got him his, they were just slow. Nada from BC/BS for me.

My hearing has been bad for 40 years, but it is getting worse. Now at times it is like I can hear a bunch of guinea's hollering, or a ringing all the time. I don't know if a hearing aid would help me, I couldn't stand the sounds I have now being amplified. If there are several people talking in a room, I can't hear any one of them if that makes sense. It didn't help me...
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

They make a wireless headphone that has a transmitter that plugs into the tv. My wife bought one for 20 or 30 bucks. Yes, that is how I watch at night without reading the captions or waking up the neighborhood.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

With my wife and 17 year old daughter arguing all of the time hearing loss is a blessing from the good Lord himself.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?
