It may be good - but how could you buy that product ever again. How could you trust them. It wasn't a faulty ink pen. They knew they had major problems with a food product, sold it anyway, and folks died.

I totally agree, seems the majority of folks just overlook all of that tho!

Bluebell is one of my customers and as I was told that the first run will only be their "homemade vanilla " as its their bread and butter. Selling that flavor alone will get them back to making money. Within the next few months the other flavors (my choice is cookies and cream) will start being shipped.

As I was told the bacteria was only found in one of their facilities in Texas. Even though it was only found their for liability reasons, all of their facilities had to be thoroughly cleaned and then tested and tested and tested. So yes bluebell production plants for the time being are probably the cleanest food production plants in the world. They have a big plant in sylacauga and from what I was told more than half the employees were laid off while this took place. At Least these guys will be able to go back to worth.

Glad there back going again, looking forward to my chocolate chip cookie dough, but whatever happend to the "THE REASON BLUE BELL SHUT DOWN,IS THAT WE ARE GONNA USE THE ICE CREAM TRUCKS TO USE FOR ALL THE DEAD BODIES,AND HAULING PEOPLE TO THE FEMA CAMPS" I read about this somewhere (wasn't on this board) one of the "preppers" may have been Alex Jones, swore this was the reason Blue Bell was closing

Anyone who believes Blue Bell's trucks were going to be used to haul dead bodies probably deserves a big ol' bowl of listeria, e.coli and other bacteria sprinkled with some stupid syrup and topped with a cherry.

Won't be eating it. They knowingly deceived their consumers.

It is awful that people died from the bacteria but aldeer is the first place I have heard that blue Bell willingly shipped products containing listeria. Does anyone have a link to a story showing these facts? I'm not discrediting you guys I just haven't heard it.

Geez...a simple google search pulls up what you're asking for.

Google "did blue bell know about the listeria" and this is the first story that pops up...

Willingly/knowingly? I doubt it ... More like their process hadn't been refined enough ... as with the rest of the industry

News Linky

Ok I stand corrected ... my google pulled up different stuff

After finding out that they were selling ice cream while they knew that there was a problem, I wouldn't trust them. There are too many good ice cream producers out there to rush back to Blue Bell.

If I die from eating Blue bell ice cream then I know Jesus REALLY loves me!
