Curious to see what is the preferred tree stand (ladder, climber, or lock-on) for all-around general hunting. And, if this topic has already been raised, let me apologize in advance.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

NOTE: I love my Summit Viper SD and it's modded to the hilt BUT ... I like it for rifle hunting, not bow hunting

I'm looking for an OPEN FRONT climber for bow hunting ... something like the Lone Wolf S&C maybe

Tree Walker climber. Prefer loc ons but if I could only have one stand it would be a climber.

don't get the summit open shot. damn thing is a accident waiting to happen. I don't remember the name of it but I have a summit that the front rail drops down for bow hunting. I like it. how much does your viper weigh with all that stuff on it?

Thanks for the tip. Not sure of exact weight ... The Molle only adds a pound or two but it distributes the weight like a professional backpack

Side bags, front bags, foam fill, foot step, all these things add more weight than the Molle

Summit Viper SD. I use it mostly for bow hunting by raising the seat as high as it will go (wish it would go even higher) and not having as much distance between the top and bottom and I use the "seat" only when I need a moment to rest my legs.

just got an XOP Enforcer and I think I am going to really really like it. Folds flat and is way easier than my summit viper to carry around. Also only weights 19lbs. Haven't had a chance to climb with it yet but I think it is going to be a winner.

We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

Used to be my old summit bow hunter, but the older I get, the more I prefer sitting in a shooting house or ground blind.
