I went with the ford reman. I think it was $2,800 installed with a warranty. So far so good I been pulling with it pretty regular.

What kind of warranty do they carry?

No, but the warranty is sopposed to be transferable to any ford dealership if I remember correctly. Any so called mechanic can do the change out but I don't know a true mechanic to do a rebuild on that transmission.

I think it's like 3 year 50,000 or 75,000 and which ever one comes first. Jasper also has them and there warranty and prices are close in comparison.if you do the change out instead of the rebuild there's no reason for your truck to be down for more than one day.

Thanks, I've got to get hay in by the end of week. I'll check with local ford dealer in the morning.

Wish u was closer. You could borrow my truck, to get it in. Or still can for that matter. Hate about your truck.

Thanks for the offer danial, I've got old 84 chevy 4x4 that will pull the gooseneck. Sometimes more than it wants, but low range it will get out of the field. Thanks again for the lab, he weights about 90 lbs and a good looking pup.
