Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.

I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.

Drive a hybrid, I need your gas.

Your mind is your primary weapon. Never let it get rusty.

thumbup I made my 11 year old son help me and dad pull the 2.5 out of my Jeep. It don't hurt them to get greasy.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Ya, I know. I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it. Does it look familiar?

Wes, our kids are getting bigger so we are getting older. Is that your son I met up at the club in Fayette, RiverRat's club?

Yes, we went to Daddyo's for lunch.
Definately getting older. I'm thankful to have him climbing up in there instead of me...

Thank you for teaching him how to turn a wrench.

You would be amazed at how many green kids show up on the job and have NO IDEA how to use basic hand tools and no concept of common hardware, fasteners, etc.

They can program a computer, but cant screw 2 boards together.

I had a 23 year old guy ask me what a 1/4-20 bolt was. We recently had a guy in his 20's who had to keep 3 bolts ( we use 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 99% of the time) in his pocket bc he didn't know what size nuts to put on them.

It's goin to be difficult for industry to fill trade jobs in the near future.

This is what kills me. I'm 28 and go to school with guys that are a little younger than me that can't change their own oil. Hell some can't even write checks, they don't know how. They were awestruck when I told them I was going home to put a new motor in my truck.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I work with a few like that.
My 2 girls had to learn to change their own oil before they got a truck.
