I've got my trust paperwork in the works and now its time to find the right hardware. Based on recommendation from others and even though I'm primarily going to be switching it between two 5.56 rifles (one gas & one piston) I'm going with a 30cal suppressor because a 308 is on the wish list. I've Been talking to these guys and may choose one of their suppressors. Anyone have any other recommendations? There are so many companies making them nowadays and I know they are all different in some sort or fashion and some will probably function better than others. Are there any questions I need to answer before I make a final decision?
If your decoy doesnt have holes in it, your not letting him get close enough... J.H.

If I were in your shoes, I would pick between a Silencerco or a Rugged. I would not go to a small shop for something that you're married to for the rest of your life.

If you are going to do a trust then do it and get multiple cans. You'll be happier not feeling like you wasted money

You'll be happier not feeling like you wasted money If I was only going to buy one it would be a 30 cal, if 2 then a 30 cal and rimfire can, if 3 then add the 5.56. Just my thinking.

As previously stated, do NOT go to a small shop for your suppressor. Sound suppression really is rocket science and the top tier of companies have invested heavily in the science of canceling sound. In this industry you definitely get what you pay for to a point. That being said I can't believe these's enough difference in a $800 can vs a $1500 can. I don't believe the human ear would ever tell the difference nor do I believe they'd meter much, if any, diferent. My recommendation would be Liberty (and you can go shoot theirs before you buy. They're in Trenton GA), Silencerco or AAC. The Dead Air guys quit or were forced out of AAC after the Remington merger. They know the science and I would buy their product in a heartbeat. And I WOULD get the 30cal for dual use. There are 30cal cans on the market that are very close to dedicated 5.56 cans in suppression. All that said, there's more smiles per outing with a rimfire can. It's cheap to shoot and leaves a huge grin every time. I spent 2+ years researching before spending a penny. All you could ever want or need to know is right here..... http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/index.php

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

We went the trust route so that we could buy more FFL stuff in the future. This is just the first go at it so I wanted some advise from some of you guys with them before making any decisions. I plan on purchasing a rimfire soon, maybe at the same time we order the centerfire. Not going with a small company to something you are married to is really good info. Makes a lot of sense.

Call Liberty in Trenton, GA. David is good people and the customer service is second to none.
