My personal laptop has finally bit the dust after going jobsite to jobsite for 9+ years. To say it has been a good one is an understatement. I have a company issued iPad that I can do everything I need to do if there is an App that is compatible with Office Word/Excel. Anyone know of anything like that? There's tons of stuff in the App Store but I was hoping someone had some experience with a few of them. Thanks

We've got Microsoft Word downloaded on all of our company I-pads. Seems to word fine for us. I bet there is an Excel app too.

I looked and there is also a Microsoft excel app

I knew you could for a Mac. Just didn't know if you could for iPad.

My understanding is yes, I don't have it, but I know several people that run windows applications like Word and Excel on iPads. You may have to download it off the internet, I don't know.

Yes . Its very similar from what I can tell. It also has a lot of pre made templates that can be used. Very user friendly from what I've seen. It does everything our technician need it to do.

We downloaded them in the App Store. I'm not sure if it was a free download or not.

Free download for official Microsoft Apps: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, and Outlook.

If I'm not mistaken, they are actually working on a Microsoft Office integrated bundle that links in with any Office 365 subscriptions, so what you have on your work machine can be seen and accessed by Ipad, iphone, and Android tablets/phones...and vice v ersa what you see and save in the field is backed up so you can retrieve at work computer.

Documents to Go app

I've used it for several years and like it. It even allows encrypted documents

I use pages (word) and numbers (excel) and also Keynote (powerpoint) on my I-pad. You can save/convert to and from each.
