Hunting Club in Prentiss County, MS near Burnsville/Booneville.

2 members needed. Dues are $1175. This lease is year round.

We have 1400 acres with nice open hardwood bottoms and natural regrowth from mature pine seed trees. Established food plots (15) and stands. Camper sites established and available. This is nice hilly property.

Membership limited to 7 total members. We are a good group of ethical hunters and are all from North Alabama (Cullman, Hartselle, Decatur).

The property is 1:45 from Hartselle/Decatur/Huntsville area. We don’t allow local members. This is not a dog club.

Harvest rules:
3.5 year old or older on bucks
We are managing does - not shooting every doe we see (no harvest of does on food plots).
State and then Progressive buck rules for young hunters

Due to recent changes, MS hunting rules on leased property are almost identical to AL rules. Out of state license will cost you about $400. Dues ($1175) + License ($400) = $1575

I'm interested in the club. Are you guys seeing any turkeys?

We do have a good population of turkeys. We get a lot of turkey pics on our trail cams and I see them almost every time I go out.

Due to baseball and work, we just haven't hunted turkeys. I think one member hunted turkeys two years ago maybe one time. We have definitely not threatened the population.

Ok. I was asked for a few pics of deer and land. See attached. The six point was a 23in spread. We have some interesting big 6 point genetics. The nine point was about a 16-17in spread.

To answer some questions that I have been asked:

This club was setup for big bucks but also so kids can see and harvest deer. We do allow kids to harvest does on food plots early in the season. Its working. Last year we had a young man harvest a 5 point and a doe. We also harvested two big bucks and saw several more. We only had 5 hunters last year. We see lots of deer during the season. I hate not seeing deer!

During the last two weeks of the season, we do allow members to harvest does off of food plots.

MS rules: They've just changed. We can gun hunt from Nov 21 to Jan 31. Primitive season is now before gun season for private and leased land. It's really identical to Alabama rules.

The lease is for deer, turkeys, all game. Its year round.
