Was stomping around Walter Craig yesterday, they have a brand of ladder stands called X Stands. They looked very well built, adjustable gun rest(height) also a flip up seat(bow hunters) and an additional claw to help grab\hold tree stand that has ratchet straps and a cable system to access from the ground.

Pretty neat set-up, any input?

Also bought a Bushnell 3x12x40 and m223 mount for my AR

The single ladder is $239 at Cabelas. Thats alot to spend on a ladderstand. More than I would spend .

That price is close, don't remember for sure, they had a 17'and 20' on display, the 20' was heavy duty material, very well constructed

They make a two seater too. Check out Cabelas website. For me a $90 ladder stand from Walmart is good enough. Things you leave in the woods grow feet.

I will spend 300-400.00 onna climbing stand if I need one but wont spend over 100.00 for a ladderstand ever. They grow feet like as mentioned and they also scream "Hey this is a great spot to hunt!!"and I have never been in one that is comfy enough for an all day sit.Four hrs is about the max limit for me inna ladder stand.

Those do look nice. It looks like the foot platform goes all the way under the seat back to the tree. That's a nice feature many don't seem to have.

However, a $190 MSRP for the 17' single ($240 for 20') and $330 for the cheaper double is hard to justify for me when I can also get those $90 doubles at walmart that aren't bad at all. No doubt these X-stands are better quality and more comfortable though.

Lot of nice stands out there. Buy the best you can afford. Those Walmart stands are made for little butts and not comfortable at all to a big butt or a kinda big butt. Oh yes they will grow legs and run off.

It be's that way sometimes.

Best ladderstand made is by Family Traditions, its a swivel seat ladderstand that you could sit in all day long, but its like $400. Sat in one at the APC hunting club one time. I usually spend $100-125 on mine.
