Between Pinedale and hoback junction..........closer to Pinedale, there are two different "overpasses" that span over the highway. They are grassed out on top and only meant for animal travel. A lot of mule deer and elk cross the road in that area. Made me scratch my head when I saw it.........but I wasnt a local who understood the migration. A friend has watched part of the elk migration from the elk preserve north of Jackson into the mountains and vicaversa several times. He said it is a sight to see.....I tend to believe him.
