Hope everyone is able to make it, BUT, just letting y'all know that the birds don't seem to be here. Maybe they will show up next week. Have less birds this year than I ever have. Just letting everyone know, because I know some people has a long drive to get here. Like I said, hope everyone can still make it, just letting you know, not a lot of birds here YET. Maybe they will come on.

Wish I could send some your way. I bushogged a 5 acre field filled with my summer cover crop of sunflowers, peas, and sorghum-sudan a week ago. Went to disc it all in yesterday and I ran out more birds than I could count. It's a shame on my field is unsafe to hunt because of mobile homes around it or I'd invite some of y'all over.

i aint got a bunch of birds but normally keep a few, didnt seem to be getting as many. But went and put some decoys out last week. And thought for sure they'd be comeing good with the cooler days. Sure enough yesterday that started showing up. So dont lose hope. I think the decoys help. Seen a guy that would take empty water bottels and spray paint them gray. He would stick them in the ground at about 45 degree angle. I dont put out many usually 4 that I bought on sale at walmart. down to 2 now though. I put them so they get best visability on fly over, kinda close to a power line.

Someone needs to bring some clay birds.

Throw out a couple hand fulls of rock salt...when they fly over they'll see it shining and swoop down to investigate... then they'll find the wheat...This may or may not be legal but it will be gone by the time the shoot starts...just don't put a lot out cause it can kill them...
