Never killed him but I have pics of a huge 11 point with big heavy palmation from 2010 on my foley property. Flat land sandy soil. Lots of agriculture.

Killed a nice palmated 11 last year. Agricultural bottoms and hilly ridges.

I killed one on Jan. 28, 2011. Basic terrain - mix of pines and hardwoods. Not a lot of crop land anywhere nearby. He was rutting hard and neck was really swollen. Right side of his rack is normal, left side is somewhat palmated. He's got a unique eye guard coming down towards his left eye, and the brow tine is angled backwards towards his back. High and tight rack that's really not the norm - different enough, plus my first ML buck, so I mounted him. No regrets on that decision! thumbup

I'm taking this buck to the BuckMaster's show later this month and get him scored. He won't score real high, which is fine. I just want to see what the score is with that left side being different.

This one came from a river bottom. He was walking in belly deep water on him. I shocked his shoulder /spine with the first shot and he got up and went 30 yds and fell again. I could just see his belly and reflection of his rack on water. I put 4 more in his belly while he was laying there. I would see his side rise with breath and I would shoot. After I was out of bullets and powder, I waded the brake and held his head under till the bubbles stopped! Very exciting to say the least! I have seen others with his characteristics in the area also.

Well mine only has a little palmation. Ole Abram from here was sharing a bowhunt with me and he helped me find him. I had just got my osage blackwidow and this was the very first time I every hunted with that bow. Good mojo ! He was from very sandy soil, rolling hills but not a half mile from the little Conecuh river swamp basin.

I killed this one last year at our place outside Monroeville. I shot it as a cull, but regreted it, as I think he was only 2.5 and probably would have grown to be a hell of a deer. I'll try and get pictures, but a member killed another one a few years back that was 6 or 7 years old that was solid moose blades on each side. Not really wide, but a hell of a trophy deer to have killed.

I killed both with my bow. The top one is a 12pt I shot at 4 steps. The second one is a 9 pt that I killed last year.

83% of all statistics are made up.

Never officially scored but we have him right at 150. Has 3 H measurements 9".

Definetly a deer of a lifetime! Blessed to have been there that December morning.
