Anyone ever used the granular 4.5 lb bag? I put a bag out a couple days ago. Probably check it next week.

I have used several bags over the past few years. It's a good way to get a salt lick started. Coons and hogs like it too.

Dude I used to work with had some decent success with it so I bought three bags. I put it on stumps and in holes at my camp and nothing touched it. I'm in the southwest part of the state and we have some finicky deer on our property. Your mileage may vary.

ive used it in mineral salt lick sites, smells very strongly of a middle eastern spice i cant quite put my finger on. i may attract some deer to the minerals and get them going, mixed with the salt it might be desirable , i think stand alone , not so much, i usually use a 150# of stock mineral granular salt, or frm brand vitamundae, mixed with 50# dical phosphate, dump it in a low wet spot you know deer use alot.and dump a bag of corn of top. seems to get them on it quicker than anything else,if im feeling fancy ill pour a jug of that apple scented goo on top of that.ive got 3 spots that i do this way at least 2 times a year some 3, and in 3 years my sites have become about 3 to 4 inches deep and 4 to 6 ft wide, one a little bigger, this is on 155 acres.

i think buying these overpriced minerals that come in 5 and 10 pound containers cant really provide much on a per deer basis, i may be wrong?
