I think I need to choke down - going to try the factory choke next. Never had a pattern that was too tight before! Liking it so far grin

Even the high dollar Nitros can't do anything compared to the TSS!

Definitely a dense core on those. Are those 9's?

Shoot I would fool with it. Nice pattern.

It will probably open up some in colder hunting temps.

No such thing as too tight. If I could get 100% in a 10" circle, I would. Looks good to me, but I've been known to like a tight pattern. thumbup

If you have 2 shells to burn, would you shoot a 50 and 60 yard just so we can see how well it holds together?

According to Hals approximation theory (lose 30% every 10 yards) it should be close to this.

40 - 309
50 - 216
60 - 151
70 - 106

From my experience, this has usually been pretty close.

That is exactly how mine shoots with the .575. Try the .585 and it should be closer to what you are after.

Tss patterns are like women. Tight is good, loose is bad.

I like it, but personally would want it opened up a little more.

Ahem. Didn't I tell you to try your factory full before buying any chokes? When you ain't gonna shoot one beyond 40 yards, why do you need to hit him with 500 shot?

smile

I don't know why anyone would incur the expense of tss if you aren't going to shoot past 40 yds, say 50 for misjudging distance. Good ol lead with a good pattern will slay 'em all day long at under 50. In my mind, and why I starting shooting it, is to close that gap between 50-60yds where lead falls off. This is where tss shines IMO. And, if the setup is right then having to pull the trigger on one at 65-70 yds is not out of the question at all. I base my opinion on personal results. 64 steps has been my longest, it was misjudged on a bird walking away, and it was a bang flop. I figure I could have still cleanly killed him had he been 5 more yards. Couple at 50+, also bang flops.
