I use a lineman's belt at the top of my sticks to attach to the tree... and hang the stand that way when I pack one in. I have a cam-buckle strap that I use around it rather than a ratchet strap. Never had issues with it being wobbly with that set. Do you pull the stand up to the top with a pull rope or climb the sticks with the stand on your back? I use the lightest aluminum stand they sell... so I just climb the sticks with the stand on my back. [/quote] I've got a couple of extra brackets and lots of climbing sticks so I may try that this year. I thought about having two separate pull ropes, one for the stand and another for my bow. I like the cam-buckle idea. A lot quieter than ratchet strap.

I have a Gorilla stand that is very comfortable. Thinking about getting a Millennium or two as additional ones. Are they as comfortable as the Gorilla stands? Gorilla's and others, are not in the same class as far as comfort as Millennium. If that's all you're gonna use, my suggestion is buy 2 stands and a bunch of brackets.

For years we've used nothing but ladder stands. Only in the last three or four have we put up lock ons. The multiple brackets make a lot of sense so if I can get some other guys to chip in maybe two chairs and multiple brackets will be the way to go. I don't like screw in steps so I figure we'll need to add some climbing sticks too.

I predominantly use the Millenium as my second stand in each set. I've yet to go 100% to the Milleniums at this stage - I've probably got over $2,000 tied up in my other fixed position stands and seriously doubt I could get more than $1500 for the bunch.
