A former co worker of my dad was hosting a cookout one night with the main course being goat, somehow the goat got loose and disappeared before the bbq. Desperate and without an alternative they decided to get the neighbors German shepherd and bbq it without telling anyone. Said they got drunk enough and tried it for themselves and it was good.

What's your best odd or wtf story

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I caught a dragon fly this weekend and tied him to some fishing string. My own personal pet helicopter.

I've "ate" some questionable "kitty" after a night of drankin but never a dog or a snake.

BBQ Monkey in Honduras.

We were slightly drunk, but it was pretty good.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Ok, this doesn't involve eating anything weird. But it's a crazy story about a hunting trip.
1968. Tazewell, VA. (Rural, mountainous, SW VA.) I was 6 at the time and didn't get to go on the trip, but my daddy went. The hunters were my dad, my 2 uncles (my mom's brothers) and the eldest sons of both my uncles (1 each) making it 5 total. They were going up to Tazewell for a black bear hunt. January, I suppose because I remember both my cousins got new shotguns at Christmas, for the occasion and I was disappointed that I was the only boy that didn't get a new shotgun from Santa Claus.
They were going to stay in Tazewell at the home of one of my Uncle's inlaws. His name was Jim Alec and he was a "stem winder", as they used to say. Always into something crazy and pulling pranks. He was a coal miner and lived in one of the company built houses near the mines. All the same size, shape and color. When they arrived it was late, but before I midnight. There was some confusion about which house it was since it was dark and nobody bothered to write down the address. But since my uncle had been there before and he was pretty certain he knew which house it was, nobody thought much of it when they arrived and the house was dark. All 5 of them piled out of the car and they knocked on the door.
Nobody answered.
Figuring that Jim Alec was pulling another prank they just went on in because in those days no one locked their doors and family could just make themselves at home. They looked around and indeed the house was empty. Since they had to be up early they got their bags from the car and brought all their gear in the house. They laid out their hunting clothes, cooked a late supper of bacon and eggs and went to bed about midnight.
About an hour later after everybody was snoring away, the family comes home. Mom, dad and all 6 of the girls. They flip on lights, discover a kitchen full of dirty dishes, etc smelling like bacon, and then everyone realized at the same time, after the twin girls screamed when they found a strange man in their bed, they were in the wrong house! You can imagine the shock on everyone's face after waking up from a deep sleep!
They had missed it by 3 houses. Thankfully, that family knew the inlaws well and it became a funny family story. They invited the man of that house to join them on their hunt and he went, too. They even killed a bear.

Knew a fella going to do a BBQ for the family one weekend. This all started on a fri afternoon about 3 and ended about 7pm the following day.

Went to local farmers place to buy a hog. Bought said hog and tied rope around it and headed out the gate to the truck. Hog got loose outside the fence and they chased it around for over a hour till it bout collapsed and they subdued it.

Took hog home, started a 55 gal drum of water boiling.. another half a case or so later water was boiling. Shot the hog, gutted, washed, and proceeded to dip it. Well they musta left it in there too long cause the hair set on it and wouldnt come out. After a lot of cussing and more beers they went and bought a pack of disposable razors and started shaving it. After 2 more trips to the store a lot of time, more beers and $40 worth of disposable razors hog was ready to go on the automatic rotisserie he had just built.
Stuck it over the fire and for the first 4 hours all was good.. then the hog started to get done and came loose inside on the rotisserie and would make about a quarter turn and flop back down.
They ended up taking down part of the chainlink fence and wiring it around the hog to make it spin 360 again.

It was a hoot listening to him tell it and we always kidded him about shaving a hog.

Great story! I was in Tazewell a little over a week ago. It's good that they knew the kin folk. Many folks up there that may not be too kind to someone in their house when they got home. Lots of bears still around those parts.

Sadly, neither my dad nor my uncles are still living. I really don't do that story justice. Every time it was told, no matter how many times, the room would ertupt in laughter. I cherish that memory. thumbup
