Whats the rule of thumb for replacing tires on a camper. I haven't replaced mine since we bought the camper 4 years ago used. Mileage is not a issue, and there is no visable dry rot, 1/2 inch of tread left. What do yall think.

Ride with it Andy. You usually don't start having problems until you see dry rot in treads or on sidewall. Not to say you can't but it's not normal. If you do change em out let me have the old ones. I've got about 10 trailers and one of them always seems to have a flat.

Im sure others will dissagree, but you are getting close. Age is what kills them. They will look fine, then come apart going down the highway. When one goes the others aren't far behind either.

I have had multiple flats on dual axel boat trailers several times on the same trip. When we towed our boat a lot we bought a set of trailer tires about every three years, including the spare.

A blow out on a camper does a lot of damage.

My FIL had a blow out last weekend. Went to check the air on others and 2 of the valve stems blew out. These tires were about 3 years old. I have ran them 5 or 6 years before but I keep them covered and on concrete

5 years from dot date is most manufacturers warranty . Change the rubber valve stems at the same time.

I've had two 6 ply tires come apart on me over the past month... Both were in the 7-8 year old range... They looked fine...but they weren't... I'd be changing em every 4-5 years max....unless you soak em in water the whole time.... I've since changed all mine...including the spare....
