Is he actively protecting other neighborhoods in the area in the same manner?

Or is he using his LEO powers to serve his own purposes -- namely, to protect his kids -- under the guise of protecting the neighborhood?

That's the crux of the matter.

If he didn't have kids would he care as much? Does he do this at other times of his shift or only during his lunch break? Does he enforce other traffic laws as rigidly? Or Alabama law in general?

I truly hate neighborhood speeders. I dislike the appearance of law enforcement officers overreaching even more.

I am a retired cop. This guy is young and full of piss and vinegar. He thinks he is going to fix all problems as he sees them. He will either calm down with time or will become a little NAZI that will write his mother a ticket for a tail light out while a bank alarm is going off down the street. Not kidding. I was working one day with a cop who did just that. 90% of cops are great. It only takes one to stand out of the crowd and make the rest look bad.

If speeding is really an issue in the neighborhood he is doing a good thing. If he is the only one that thinks speeding is a problem then he is the problem. If he continues to make waves call Montgomery. He really shouldn't be working his neighborhood that hard. If there is a problem he should ask other troopers to work it. You never crap in your own nest. Nuff said.

Exactly. I have said it on other topics. The young piss and vinegar ones either figure it out or burn out and move on in their careers. The trooper should ask local LE to handle neighborhoods. They need to handle state roads and highways.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Not sure bout other neighborhoods. Talked to wife after I came home from work. He was parked in the middle of rd, she thought something was going on in the neighborhood. He just sat there, so she drove around him. He then drives up behind her with lights and siren on. I live at the end of a cul de sac.

I respect LEOs, and have no problem with them patrolling neighborhood.

Call the district office. They have all of his usage records from the software that ALEA uses to check licenses and verify insurance so if there is a pattern of over usage in your one area they have the documentation to verify it. It's not your word against his.
