That's cool. My father inlaws Aunt took a pic of a albino hummingbird at her place a few weeks ago..

About 10 of us were sitting on a front porch waiting out spotty showers on Sunday. He kepting coming and going. Probably snapped 50 pictures over 45 minutes. Many pics were out of focus or just poor "action shots" so to speak.

We used to have aBout 4 or 5 at our old home. One thought he owned the feeder and worked his tail feathers off protecting it. We might as well have not existed. The flew all around us.

I've got a new feeder out as of this past Friday but still haven't seen any yet. And I used y'alls recipe of 4 parts water to one part sugar.

Regular visitors here. They are very territorial. Get into turf wars and buzz all over the place.

You need to get your feeders out early, late March or as soon as you see one of the birds flying or if someone says they have seen birds. If they don't see a feeder to go to, they will move on to another house. They have just migrated from South America and are hungry. We mix our feed a little stronger than that, we use about a 3/1 or 2/1 water to sugar mix with nothing else in it.

I've always had planted some red flowers around areas where I was gonna hang a feeder. Most are now accustomed to checking out porches.

I snapped a pic a couple of years ago on our back deck that had 7 or 8 in it. We only have a couple of regulars this year so far.

i've got seven feeders out. i have seen a total of 10 hummers at the feeders at one whack. visits have slowed recently. i figure the females have gone broody, and are sitting their nests most of the day. i am hoping there will be two broods this summer ...

They get crazy after a rain or right at day light, they will come and drink at mine while I'm taking down for refill.
