The front door and side windows at our house had clear glass when we moved in. We put some film on them that looks like frosted glass. It had an adhesive backing that made it stick. After many years, it has started peeling some and really needs removed and something else put on. Anybody know of something that might get the glue residue off? I figure I can scrape the film off for the most part with a razor, but will need to clean the glass if the glue before anything else gets applied.
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

GooGone and a hot air gun.

Use a cheap steamer from Wally World and the film should come right off with minimal adhesive being left behind.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

GooGone is amazing. It took a few old decals off my wife window that were practically baked on.

When removing vinyl from a door or window use a heat gun on a low setting and gently work it back and forth as to loosen the adhesive don't do it while your pulling the film. Use a wide sharp scraper blade and use either 3M adhesive remover or denatured alcohol. But prepare uourself if you use denatured alcohol and there is a lot of adhesive you are going to make a mess.
