We are looking for 2-3 members for the upcoming season. Located between Woodstock and West Blocton, we have approx 2300 acres in three tracts. We are a 6pt or better, outside the ears club and have been for 15+ years. Good road system. Good mixture of timber, cutover, thinned pines, powerline and gasline easements. From McCalla I can be in the stand ready to hunt in 20 mins. We do not have a camphouse or camp facilities as most of us live local. The property also has several ponds that are full of fish. Good road system throughout.

Membership dues are $750 per year with 3 mandatory workdays between Aug 1 and Oct 4. Summer supplemental planting is done as well as food plots in the fall. Well established club. If you are interested in knowing more about this club feel free to shoot me a PM.

To answer a few questions that have been asked:
We run 25-27 members. Several current members turkey hunt. We average between 20-25 deer taken per year. We do not shoot every 6pt or better that is seen. You can hunt as hard or easy as you like, your results depend on how much you want to put into it. You will not see 10-15 deer pile into a food plot each afternoon. Density is good but it is not the black belt. Quality bucks are on the property and we are not far from Cahaba WMA if you are familiar the quality that comes from there. Rut is typically mid to late Dec. Guest fees are $25/day. A guest can hunt twice. If the guest kills a buck there is a $150 fee. IF you don't come to work days but can find time to hunt, we really do not need you.

I hunted in a club on my grandad's land that bordered this club for years. The club is older than 15 yrs unless it changed hands and started over. Nothing bad to say about them except for an old timer named Eldred or something similar who would cross the property line and drive past our fields during peak hunting times. Also, we found a deer carcass in one of the shooting houses near the property line. I'm sure this is a fine club and the old timer that caused us issues is probably dead now - that was 10 yrs ago. I suggest doing a proper tour and asking the right questions and you will probably be fine. My family sold our land a decade ago and the new owner died and his family cut all the timber. All I know is a son in law of the new owner took over and kicked us out so I have no idea how our old land is managed now.

Mark is right about the density. You might go 3-5 hunts without seeing anything but there are some good deer in the area. Just not stacked with trophies. The price of the club pretty much reflects that. I grew up hunting in the area and the biggest buck I ever saw was about 100 inches. I'll admit back then our club was more of a meat club. We had 8 members on 800 acres and killed 12-18 deer a year with most being does and young bucks. Remember this is over 10 yrs ago so whatever damage was done then could have been resurrected by now. The most attractive thing about this club is probably location.

My turkey club is close to you guys. Please do not sell Yerkut a turkey membership. If you do, as soon as he scratches a caller, every turkey in a five mile radius will take off and fly right to him. Gotta be a true statement because I read it on Aldeer one time.
