Shouldn't be very hard I wouldn't think.
Have them Make up a bill of sale with their signature, have the buyer sign it and give it to them. Maybe I'm missing something though, I've never sold a car for someone else.

Also, Do you know an asking price? My dad was looking for a work car. I could see if it's something he'd be interested in.

Have the in-law sign and print his/her name on the title, type up and sign a bill of sale with all the info (leave a blank space for the $ amount, date, and buyer info), and just fill out the remainder of title and bill of sale once the seller pays for car. I would do a cash only sale. I would also suggest making several copies of the bill of sale, one for the buyer and seller, and one or two for possible mistakes.
As long as neither party makes a mistake on the back of title - no issues to worry with. Clean the car up good and be prepared to answer all questions about service, wrecks, and any mechanical work done. Be ready for a buyer to try and nitpick the care to death. They're trying to get it as cheap as they can while you're trying to get the most out of it. If it's close to your in-law's price - take the cash.
Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with the sale. I believe this is spot on.
I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.
