Damp rid works well as do Dehumidifiers but I would also be skeptical about leaving one running so far away even though they are very reliable

Damp-Rid works well. May want to get a small desk fan just to move the air around too.

My shop used to get mildew in it. I removed the door/cover that goes into the attic. It let's the hot air escape into the attic and out the ridge vent.
This has helped with heat and mildew build up.
