1976 GMC 6500 Sierra

Currently tagged and insured

366 engine rebuilt 10 years ago with approximately 500 miles on it. 5 speed with high and low. Has new exhaust as it was just straight pipes, and after 20 miles on the road it didn't sound as cool as it used to on short runs.

Dual axles with 10.00R20 tires.

Headache rack with flatbed with dovetail.

Two side mounted toolboxes.

Bed alone would cost over $5000.00 to build.

We only use this truck for carrying our 450C Bulldozer, 3010 tractor and bushhog around to adjoining properties and farm. We have owned this truck for 20 + years.

Quite easy to load and unload, and maneuver in small places.

It is a work truck, and looks it, but get to point A to B in the woods without worrying about getting it scratched up.

Bed has metal lip running down it for carrying pipe, lumber, culverts, etc without worry of rolling off. Rubber conveyor belts are mounted on the bed to keep from having metal on metal and being slick in the rain when carrying dozer.

Inside measurements of bed from lip to lip is 91 inches (7.58 feet). Outside of bed from side to side is 96 inches (8 feet).

Length of flat bed is 15 feet with additional dovetail length of 5 1/2 feet (sloped length). Dovetail length of straight extension from flatbed is 5 feet.

Tool boxes have inside measurements of 52 inches long, 24 inches deep, and 16 inches high.

No air other than manual roll down windows and open the vent windows. Heater hoses have been taken off as heater core had a leak. Requires brake fluid about every month. Driver's side window needs a new window track, but rolls down and up.

Only selling as we have an International 4700 with short lowboy I mainly use now (it has air conditioning, lol), and I'm running out of space.

$4250.00 or best offer.

God Bless,
David B.

Bump to the top and a couple questions.

Air brakes?

GVW? in other words does it take a CDL license to drive it?

Sitting on flat ground how far from the ground is the dovetail?

That tricycle front end on that 3020 doesn't get squirrelly going up the ramp?

GLWS. Cool looking rig.

Not air, but has a brake booster on it as well.

No cdl required to my knowledge. I'll check on the gvw, and actual distance for the dove tail.

I have loaded and unloaded the dozer with out the dove tail touching on flat land, but don't like to do so.

No issues with the tricycle front end. Dove tail is not steep, and supports are about 2 inches from each other.

If you notice as well, there are weights added on the front of the tractor.

I'll make a great deal on truck tractor and bush hog.

God Bless,
David B.

16" off the ground, and 25.75" to top of ramp.

Tag reports it is under 42000 lbs.

What is the gvwr? Can the lip be removed? I have a 650h with 28" pads. May be to much for the truck? I'm push 8 wide with the wide pads. Weighs around 18,500

Tag receipt shows the gross vehicle wt. not over 42,000 as per last photo posted.

In my opinion, it would carry it, but not many times, lol. It would be BAAADDD loaded(weighted).

The lip on the bed could easily be removed. The dovetail take slightly more time (I would think).

I wouldn't recommend this truck for what you are needing.

God Bless,
David B.

Fair enough. I figured it was a long shot. I appreciate it.
