Trying to figure out how to get lime spread on my lease between Brewton & Andalusia. I can get the lime delivered but they will not spread it. I don't have a tractor to fill & pull a buggy so I'm not sure what the best options are. Talked to the lady at the feed store and she gave me a guy's number and warned me that he is batshit crazy....he lived up to that expectation so I'm looking for other options

Josh call the Kobota tractor dealership in Andalusia. I can't think of the name though but I think he could help you. If not I have a buddy at ALDOT there that would know someone and I'll call him tomorrow.

Try calling Zorn Brothers in Lockhart (Florala). They might deliver, and if they don't they will know who does. I found someone in Andalusia who will deliver it but they won't spread it. I'll give them call tomorrow and see what they say, thanks!

I haven't checked on buggies yet because that would require me making several trips to get it all since I'd have to pull with my truck. I figure those buggies aren't too light.

Where in the heck do you fellers find all these buggies that will spread lime? Co-ops and feed stores in Hillbilly land only have buggies that spread fertilizer. They've always told me it takes a different type buggy, cost more and folks keep them tore up.

They've always told me it takes a different type buggy, cost more and folks keep them tore up. The one in Thomasville had one full time. The other coops that I've dealt with in the past had one that they shared with other coops.

2dogs you need to call Dale Richardson from Fayetteville Tn. He spreads lime all over and in your part of the woods too if you want it custom spread. I can't believe Larry Dean doesn't have a line buggy or Philip Stewart.
Quietly killing turkeys where youre not!!! My tank full of give a fraks been runnin on empty I'm the paterfamilias

I can't believe Larry Dean doesn't have a line buggy or Philip Stewart. If Larry has one he's just gotten it last couple of years, Phillip is out of the business , his cousins are doing it now. I get a spreader truck on my place , co-op's machine with the monster tires, that's the way to "get'r done". They are not far from my place so it's the cheapest haul/spread rate. The guys up here have always said you can spread it in a regular fertilizer buggy , but the lime must be just perfect and humidity low. It clumps on ya in one of those buggies, you got a mess.

I HATE #%^$#%^ lime after today. Long story that involves post hole diggers and lime stone!

Oh. Yea bust the limestone rock with sledgehammer and piece of iron. Scoop it out piece by piece. Marion junction whipped our arse as teenagers driving those pull post and corner post. Awful awful days.
