I can live with that. Horns don't mean as much to me as they do to some and since we're in Unit L I'll always get 3 or 4 does.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I wonder what the reasoning behind the new limit. Is the buck population to low due to over harvest if so this may help. If it is strictly to produce trophy bucks say bucks 140-150 and up I say it will be a big failure for the majority of the state anyway. Most of TN don't have the soil or the groceries to compete with there neighbors to the North and West. I could see AL doing this in the near future.

TWRA's biologists did not recommend this. The proposal and vote came from the TWRA Commission, the governor's appointees.

TWRA Showed TN kills less 3.5yr old bucks
than any state that touch's it
Maybe AL but they say they don't have that data

Only 1% of the hunters kill 3 bucks
And 51% don't kill a deer at all, buck or doe

Will it ever be another KY ? Nope

No I been all over TN they do have some places with the right ingredients to grow big bucks but I would say most of the state does not.

Sounds familiar.
Thought Tenn had better sense than Alabama, guess not.

There is no need for one. It's because of the desires of some hunters wanting big bucks and the Commissioners going against the biology.

Exactly. There are plenty of guys who post on this very site that will be glad to decide how many deer a person "needs", or how big a buck should be before a grown man should be proud of killing it.
