cgardner OP 10 point Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 4,063 White Plains Alabama	He's a freaking TOAD!! Heard him off the roost from about 400 yards. Made my way to 150 yards from him and set up. I did a couple of soft clucks and he double gobbled from the tree. He then gobbled at every sound for the next 20 minutes or so. He probably gobbled 100 times from the limb. He then goes quiet. I'm thinking he's either spooked or he's on the ground coming my way. I let 5 minutes of silence go by then I yelp softly on a slate. BAM!! He about knocks my hat off with his gobble from 50-60 yards. He then proceeds to gobble another 50 times in a span of about 10 minutes. Then he goes quiet again. After a minute or so I hear sssssppppppiiiittttt dddddooooooooommmmmm!! He's right there, but I can't see him!! Then I catch movement of a white noggin. He's at 30 yards, but I have no shot for the small sweet gums in these thinned pines. He then proceeds up a small rise in full strut. I yelp softly with my mouth call and he double gobbles!! He then comes out of strut and steps into an opening at 20 yards and I feed him a breakfast of Nitros. He weighed 21.56 pounds, had a 10 1/2 inch beard, and had 1 1/2 inch spurs!!
