**edited for clarification** Saw a deer that had been shot, where the entry hole was cauterized completely? Like this: a buddy shot this deer at 35 yards and when we found him 30 mins later, we noticed the entry wound was "healed". Obviously it wasn't, but it was hard almost like it had be cauterized by the bullet. To the touch, the wound was hard and rubbery feeling. Was just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them.

Deer sure are tough. If we would've been shot like that we could have bled out n died within minutes. I killed a 6pt in Covington County one year that had 4 .22 bullets in his backstrap.

My brother killed one in bow season one year that smelled bad and looked funny as soon as he opened it up. Some douchebag had shot it with a .22. Later heard that a neighbor with a truck patch had made a statement about shooting every deer that came into his garden. He rendered that one inedible. I got some trail cam pics later of a deer with green stuff oozing from its side. I assumed it had been shot too. We don't have that many deer in our area to start with and I hated to see them wasted like that. No proof that the old dude did it just a hunch. I think he's deceased now.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
