Making some progress on this chicken coop, built it 12x15, 6 coops total, going to Tin it tommorow and should be wrapped up and the 6 little red sex links should have a safe place to hang out smile.. I'm new to this whole chicken raising, any advice you have will be applied thumbup

Heavier wire and put it in concrete about 6in under ground if you got chicken killers around.

I'm going to layer the bottom 4 feet with 2x4 fencing, it's stuff that's on it now is entrenched down about 6 inches and buried, I was wondering about how I should go about that

It looks like the chickens can jump up on top of the nest boxes. If they can they will end up with a pile of crap on top of the boxes. Block them off so they can't get to the top of the boxes. Put some roost poles in the pen that are higher than the nest boxes to encourage them not to roost in the nest. If the hens are not laying yet when you put them in the pen, Close off the nest boxes until they lay the first egg to train them not to roost in the nests. If they start roosting in the nests, it is hard to keep the eggs clean.
