Was out loading pine limbs for the neighbors goats earlier and seen a female walking towards the truck, early 20's blond in pink yoga pants and a black tank top.. she made a b line to my truck and spills her guts about how her and her ex got into it blah...blah...blah...tells me her phone is on 1 percent battery life... I tell her I wish I could do more but my wife wouldn't agree, and pointed her in the right direction.. I felt like I did the right thing on my end, any of y'all ever been in a simular situation? , I noticed her sitting on a curb at the gas station earlier in the day bout a mile away, so she did some walking.

Can't trust any bishes these days. Specially hoes.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I would have given her a ride but no money if I had seen her on the road. It's a tough call if she walks up to your house. Who knows what's going on. She might have a couple guys waiting to rob your house as soon as she gets you down the road.

In all seriousness I probably would have helped her out but my wife isn't the jealous type and not half as crazy as yours. grin

You did the right thing.

No point in putting yourself or family, in the situation of your word against hers should she make up some crazy story.

It's not worth it.

It would be another thing if the wife was present. At that point, your options might, change.

I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me not too long ago... I was heading to work well before daylight and seen a good looking girl walking down the rd. Curious me asked her if she was okay, she was scared to death saying her bf kicked her out of the car and said he was acting crazy... im suspicios at this time if its a true story, because it wasnt in the best area to be stopping, but me being me I offered my assistance to take her home as long as she put her huge purse in the back of the truck so she couldnt pull a fast one on me.. Turned out she only lived about 10 minutes away and she was so thankful I stopped to help she was truely terrified that her boyfriend was gonna come back do something to her while walking and she was defenseless..

Told my wife about it and she didnt like it really, but hell I felt like I did the right thing and got the girl off the rd and to a place she felt safe.

Ok, quit holding out on us. You picked her up well before daylight, and she offered to make you lunch. She must have lived a long way off.

You did the right thing. If she just needed a ride you know as well as I do, a woman dressed like that couldn't have walked for 10 minutes down the road without someone offering her a ride. She was either working the street or trying to scam you out of some cash. You saw her earlier, so she could have called someone for a ride then. You will probably see her again.

My son and I picked up a girl who had got into it with her boyfriend and was running away. I figured she was serious since she was running through a briar patch in short pants.

I'm just proud I don't base decisions like this on what my wife's gonna think.

A few years back same situation(no yoga pants) strolls up to the house sob story, need help, gas money to get to B'ham hospital etc., so we (wife and I) agree to help go to local gas station get her some gas, we do write down tag. Later that day we see her at a store further down the road, local PD happens to be there, tell him the story and tag number, she local drug addict, cop said keep an eye on your stuff,

Better in some instances to have them there, than someone else claiming they were in hers. wink

I'll be damned if I'm gonna walk around with my head up my wife's ass just because I'm afraid if I don't, somebody else will.

Slow down testicular man, breathe, breathe!!!

Re read my quote below, as I added to it for clarification, as we're in "different ballparks" now.

"Better in some instances to have them (balls) there (wife's purse), than someone else (yoga pants, black tank top women) claiming they (balls) were in hers (other womens' purses). ;)"

My heads not up my wife's rear, nor is her head up mine, BUT, we both respect each others' opinions.

lol the past few replies have been great.
dang near signature status lmao

in all seriousness, my father and i have traveled a lot racing motocross. some of the things that we have seen are.....wild. Its hard to tell now who is real or fake. People will do anything to get a dollar, especially in hotels around cities.

Now, depending on yoga pants fitment, the decisions could have been made to help a lady out..
Now whether snack or snatch was served, that may be the moment to make a u turn LOL

I would have atleast made a call for her, maybe to one of her friends that would come pick her up.

Something similar to this has happened to me as well except she's didn't come to my house I just saw her walking down the road. She was hysterical and blooded and bruised. Same story as y'all her BF had beaten her up and she was trying to get away. I called the Leo's and took her to a nearby church, and waited with her until the police arrived. I guess I'm not as paranoid as some of you folks either that or I'm nieve. But it felt good helping someone in need.

As much as I travel the roads for work I've seen a LOT of crazy stuff. I've been robbed once. As sad as it is, I've learned to trust NO ONE. For those making the comments about being a man and not having your wife carry your balls, how would you feel if it was your wife that gave a ride to a strange man? You did right.

I stepped out of my apartment once in my 20's and there was a blonde by my door, there asking if I could give her a ride home. I told her it would be no problem. about a mile down the road she started to quote her menu and prices. I then yelled at her and told her to get out of the car. she refused so I had to open the door with one hand and give her the boot with my right leg. It sounds cruel but you don't want to get messed up with this.

when i was 18 i seen a women walking on the side of the road and went back and picked her up. She looked better at 50mph than she did when she got in. Some how during the conversation. I realize she's one of my co-workers wives. Guess she seen my car at work or something. I drop her off at the bar an forget about it. About 3 months later my co-worker asks me about it, and says I should have told him. I told him I didnt know it was her when I picked her up and nothing happened so there was nothing to tell. But that learnt me a lesson. You try to help someone out and it can turn around and bite you, sometimes months later.

A fellow I used to work with was driving down a two lane back road once when he came up on a lady parked on the side of the road with her hood up, trying to flag him down. Just so happened the guy was a great mechanic and decided to stop. He later told me, he didn't know why he did it but rather than pull over behind her he drove right past her car and pulled over in front of it. When he did he looked in his rear view mirror and saw a guy that was hiding in front of the car trying to hurry and get to the back of it. He just pulled back onto the road and called the cops realizing it was a setup. There's some bad people out there.

There's a difference in someone who is beat up and obviously in trouble, and if they refuse to let you call them some help, they have something else in mind. You all act like this was a lady that had a flat tire on the way home from church.

A long time back My Dad and I were drinking beer and driving back roads one afternoon and we came up on a truck you could see from the road. It looked stuck so Dad stopped and got out he could see someone in it so he hollered and asked if they needed help. I heard a woman laugh and this ole boy said "Naw man I think I got it". I had beer coming out my nose.

No real story - I went to Germany to visit for a couple of weeks in 1974. Father was sent there as a GS civilian missile technician (Redeye/Chapparal). I had been out of the Army about a year, was somewhat going to school here so went over. It was a nasty rainy day, about 1/4 mile from the village where we lived I saw a young girl attempting to get a ride but cars just passed her. I stopped, she didn't want to get in because I was a foreigner but did anyway. Later she said if it hadn't been raining she would not have. She was doing her student teaching at an institution for really "special" kids nearby and had missed her bus. We talked as best we could, I got contact info at the hospital from her. I stayed in Germany for two years. Went to school, got a job as a bartender, ya'll can figure out the rest. Will be forty years married next month. grin

Nope- I picked up roadkill from a really bad incident back in'98. Had the front right wheel of a Humvee center my chest. Like most, I've had a few serious incidents. This one all but killed me though. Went around with the tire track imprinted on my chest for about a month. One day somebody, well meant of course, asked me how I was doing. At the time about all my ribs were broke, sternum crushed, lungs pancaked, and I answered "Like a damn roadkilled raccoon" and it just stayed with me.

She was doing her student teaching at an institution for really "special" kids nearby and had missed her bus. We talked as best we could, I got contact info at the hospital from her. I stayed in Germany for two years. Went to school, got a job as a bartender, ya'll can figure out the rest. Will be forty years married next month. grin

Now

Pretty simple really - Ft McClellan, FTX, I'd been on duty all night, was still dark when I got off so I crashed at the edge of a bivouac area, a'hole MP drove through the bivouac area without a ground guide. Generators were running, trucks on the road, lots of noise. Woke me when the front wheel hit my left shoulder, rolled up on my chest then lights out as it collapsed. DRT. Almost got another couple of guys, they started hollering, he stopped. Medic got me breathing again, everything was really busted up. I walked out of the hospital the next day. Had tire prints in my chest for weeks. Needless to say it made an impression on me.

Being one of the more "evolved' type males there wasn't a lot to start with but the EKG pads and bandages pulled out what lttle was there anyway. Just one of those things that happened. I got over it. But you can bet I pay attention now when I hear a diesel start up. Don't want to go through that again.

I was going to ask what kind of roofing design you have when I realized it was the bottom of an umbrella.

Hahaha working the street in Fairview now that's a good one......have you ever been to Fairview lol
