I am working on making a Coon Pecker toothpick, What is the best way to sharpen the end and polish the bone? I want to give to to my grandson as a birthday present. He will be 14 soon ,and is always using a toothpick. I remember when I was about his age Coon Pecker toothpicks were common ,and could be put on a string and worn around your neck. Any of you ever made one , your recomendations would be helpful. New age birth control.

Grandson, "A racoon's pecker." Girlfriend, "What do you do with it?" Grandson, "I pick my teeth with it." Girlfriend, "You put it in your mouth!?!?!?!" Grandson, "Of course, let me show you how it works." Girlfriend

I am working on it now with a sander. Little rough, don't you think? Be careful, that think will go off on you. My wife will never use a sander ever again now. That's just to kinky.
