One last nest robber to finish out the season this morning.

Question for yall, I caught around 20 coons since Christmas on two farms, and every one of them was a boar. Anyone had these kind of ratios? Back when I coon hunted all the time we always killed a few more boars than sows, but nothing this lopsided.

Amanda ran ours yesterday and didn't have anything. I guess I should've rebaited after the big rain but got called in to work days and really wasn't into it at night.

Matt I'd say 90% of my catches on coons are boars!

I had this coyote this morning and missed another one. I caught him by the back foot. I don't like hind foot catches but I'll take them any way I can get them. I reckon I'm gonna stay after them for a while. They really like Mr. Williams Yote Gland.

Congrats Jon! Mr. William has been missing for a while. I wonder where he got off to?

Nice yote. He knew his fate no sence in fighting.

I'm guessing just like any other male species, do boar coons just travel and move more? Which means % of boar catches go up?

Yes the boars will roam more looking for ladies, especially December on for breeding season. I just thought it was weird that out of 20 on two farms none of them were sows.

My coon catches are about 80 percent or better boars as well.

Caught 2 more otters today. Actually caught 1 last night and another while we were setting traps. We saw an otter swimming around the lake and before we got out of sight he had found one of my traps. Pretty cool that he swam around us and went straight to a set. Conibear traps don't play. He flopped for maybe 10 seconds and was done.

This is the one from last night. We were in a hurry to finish setting and didn't even get a picture of the one from today.

This one isn't too bad but his 2 older brothers are notorious outlaws! Lol!

I'm trying to lead him in the right direction.....

Caught another female today. Best part about it my 3 yr old son was with me. Let me tell you that was one excited little feller when he saw her.

Yeah it is. When we stopped on the way back for gas and lemonade, he made it a point to tell everyone we caught a coyote.
