I need a new primary Physician. I've been lucky in that I have been healthy the last 8 years and hadn't been to see mine since 2007. Apparently they frown on that and since it was that long I would be considered a new patient and they aren't taking new patients. I ended up at a Doc in the box in Mcalla yesterday for 4 hours for a sinus infection and acute Bronchitus. My blood pressure was up and I need to get with a new primary to keep an eye on it. Who can ya'll recommend in this area or around the Hoover area. Thanks.

If you want to wait hours to see a nurse, use him.

If you never listen to a word I say please hear this. Do Not Use Rickett's.

He and his incompetent staff were the ones who just about let me die a few years ago when I went into renal failure.

I listen to wjox everyday and I like Ricketts segments but he comes across as to much of a rockstar to me and I don't want to see someone like that.

Honestly, a lot of the "good ones" are not accepting new patients. I would however HIGHLY recommend anyone at the Baptist health center on hwy 31 & stadium trace in Hoover. I can't tell you how many personal friends of ours use any of the doctors there and are incredibly happy

My dad, brother, and I use Dr. Crenshaw at Seale-Harris Clinic. He is will shoot you straight without a bunch of unnecessary BS. My dad describes him as a mans doctor. They are down at St. Vincents. I believe he is taking new patients.

You probably need to be thinking OB-GYN.

If you don't mind using Baptist Health system, Dr. Lawrence Lee (Lee Internal Medicine) in Pelham is an awesome doctor. That's who I use.

Dr. John Morgan, right there in Hueytown. I've dealt with him on several patients that stuck with him when he moved from Springville and have had nothing but good results.
