Peach OP 10 point P Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 2,636 Florida	I am retiring this year and want to treat myself to a deer hunt. I have no interest in a high fenced area and wish to spend around 4 grand. I am only interested in a buck that is 140 or better. I have killed tons of smaller bucks in my 40 something years of deer hunting so have no interest in something smaller. I would appreciate any information anyone might provide. Thanks,

Stickers 8 point Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 2,183 Central to South AL	South Texas ( 2 hrs or so South of San Antonio- Webb, Dimmit, Frio or LaSalle counties)- $4,000 will get you up to a 150" buck in a lot of places. Go thru Pearsall Tx while there and check out the Los Cazadores Big Buck Contest. South Central KS ( Comanche,Barber, Kiowa Counties)- $3500 will get you whatever you want to shoot in a lot of places. IA (but if you don't already have preference points, you won't get drawn in the preferred areas). 3. TX 4. North Central OK. I know, you never heard anyone hunting there. Almost as good as Kansas, a grand or more cheaper and across the counter tags. So if you don't have preference points, TX.
