If I remember correctly, there was also a Hurst Oldsmobile around the same time. Yep, very cool cars also. http://tlentz.oldsgmail.com/hurst.html

I had several friends with Grand Nationals. They ran a 3.8 liter turbo charged V6. The early non inter-cooled engines were not very impressive but the inter-cooled engines made a lot of power.
I would love to have one of those cars but won't spend the money on something like that.

One of my bosses had one of these 454 Chevys. Thing would fly. Would like to see it against one of fords modern day Raptors. A guy in my home town had one of those. When you really hammered down on it I swear you could literally see the gas needle moving. LOL! Got slightly better gas millage than a Sherman tank.

I wrapped one of them around a tree going 60 when I was 14 years old. It was awesome but I spent a Summer at Marion Military for it.

I was 14 and took my Daddy's car out for a joy ride to impress my friends like the one in the pic above. I messed up in a curve and wrapped it around a tree. I spent a Summer at Marion to pay for it and got right with the World. Nobody got killed, I got a backbone scar to prove it. Hard way to learn a lesson but it is a lesson that I pass on.
